Theme customization now starts with four decisions, not forty

Theme Customization Updates - start with four options, not fourty

Opening the theme editor used to mean facing a long list of colour fields and drop-downs - font colour, hyperlink colour, primary buttons, secondary buttons, button borders - each its own decision.

We've restructured theme settings so that the theme editor now opens on Global Styles - aka to set the theme tone for your campaign - and everything granular per campaign has moved into an Advanced Customization below it.

Global Styles: the four that matter

Four properties set the character of the whole campaign.

  • Primary Colour: your brand colour
  • Font Family: with your uploaded fonts alongside the defaults
  • Button Style: Round, square or pill
  • Background: Light, dark, a specific colour, or an uploaded image.

Set those four, and you have a campaign that is easier to start with deliberately.

Advanced Customization: still there

The full campaign property list is now grouped by the component it impacts, with a visual preview instead of one long list.

Text. Buttons. Entry Fields. Cookie Warnings. The like - all still available for you to alter individually on campaigns if you'd like.

There's also a Campaign Specific section for the properties that only exist on that campaign type - the things that don't generalize - like a player carousel's card background.

Previews to show what you're editing

Business Settings Theme Cust

The preview panel no longer shows one static campaign mockup. It shows the component you're currently working on.

Editing buttons? You see every button state at once - primary, secondary, inactive, selected, correct, incorrect.  This part should save you the most time as you can see components as they'll show up in front of you.

What this means for your live campaigns

Your existing campaigns keep the theme settings they already have. What's changed is how those settings are organized when you go to edit them.
