Here's what you can use instead.
For a long time, the eAwards campaign served a very specific purpose: helping teams run internal nomination-based award campaigns. This very specific workflow doesn't reflect how most of our partners build campaigns today, and as a result eAwards has been sunset.
Why eAwards is being retired
eAwards was designed around a very specific structure:
-
Someone submitted a nomination
- Selected a nominee from a preset list
- and the nominee's manager was notified by email.
That workflow was useful for certain internal employee recognition programs, but it was not broadly applicable as a public-facing campaign type, and a bit too specialized to continue supporting long-term.
What you can use instead
While there's not a single one-to-one replacement for eAwards, there are a few combinations of campaigns you can set up, depending on the type of experience you want to create.
Here are some common alternatives:
| For text-based nominations | Use an Entry Form with custom fields. | ||
| For photo or video submission |
Use an Upload campaign. This works well when nominations or entries need to include:
|
||
| For short-answer or structured responses |
Use a Survey campaign. This is useful when you want to guide respondents through:
|
||
| For choosing finalists or winners | Use Lineup. This campaign can be used to determine finalist selection based on the award | ||
A common replacement workflow
For many eAward use-cases, the closest replacement will be:
Entry Form + Lineup campaign
For example:
- use an Entry Form to collect nominations,
- review and shortlist finalists internally,
- then use Lineup to let audiences help choose the winners
