So you want to keep a consistent number for all of your SMS sends. We get it. You've got fans from your music world. You've got fans from your sports world. And sometimes, sending from one single, recognizable number is just cleaner.
Historically with our SMS planner, we'd split messages across multiple numbers to get them out ASAP Rocky, which is perfect for time-sensitive drops or offers. But if you care more about brand consistency than speed? We've got a new option just for you.
What's new
You can now choose a specific phone number from your account to send all SMS sends from in a campaign.
There's a new dropdown in your SMS campaign setup flow under the "alphanumeric" field that lets you pick from any of the numbers associated in your account. No guessing which numbers fans will see.
It's especially handy if:
- You want music and sports messages coming from different branded numbers
- You're running a long term series and want fans to recognize the sender
One number. Less confusion for fans.
What to be aware of
We do not recommend this option for high-volume sends where speed is critical (e.g. 50K+ fans at once). Why? When you lock in one number, it throttles the send rate.
So:
- Want fast delivery to a huge list? Let the platform choose multiple numbers
- Want brand consistency over speed? Use the new dropdown to pick your number
