Doing business on social media is all about connections. That’s why Micro-star International Co. (MSI), one of the largest information technology manufacturers in the world, paired up with their IT superstar partners - Intel, NVIDIA, Corsair, Cooler Master and Kingston - to run a contest that resulted in 58,000 new Facebook fans for the group in one month.
The goal of the “Just Game! Giveaway” for MSI was to increase their fan base by partnering up with various other tech manufacturers and offering two majorly coveted prizes: a gaming notebook and a full desktop system with all the latest technology from each of the partners, valued at over $4000. The campaign ran from June 10 to July 12 and in that time, garnered over 72,000 views, 15,000 registrations and over 1000 shares on various social networks, bumping MSI to over 100,000 Facebook Likes with just one campaign.
MSI was the first to test out the multi-page fan gate feature now available for Premium Tradable Bits accounts with the Promo app. This feature requests that contest participants “Like” several business Pages before entering into the prize draw. The cross-organizational promotion of the Just Game! Giveaway brought MSI closer with its partners and introduced the manufacturers to new audiences. Fans of Intel for example, were engaging with fans of MSI, which created a stronger and larger community of gamers as they shared their excitement and anticipation in the days preceding the draw.
"Exploring options for new app features from Tradable Bits was a good experience and we got all the help we needed," said Mark Tran, Marketing Specialist at MSI. If your organization has a goal that the current suite of 25 Tradable Bits apps doesn’t address, our Custom Development team is happy to work with you on finding a solution.
